The accusations followed his controversial perfume brand launch, which allegedly offended religious sentiments. Butt apologized publicly, closed the brand, and left Pakistan shortly after.
Additionally, the Lahore High Court has requested a detailed report on a rape case involving Rajab Butt and two others, including Man Dogar. While co-accused Salman Haider was found guilty in a preliminary inquiry, the complainant’s lawyer raised concerns about the investigation’s handling and the release of Butt and Man Dogar. Authorities are now required to justify their release.
