Human smuggler Arrested in Karachi by FIA

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Cell executed an arrest of a notorious human smuggler operating in Karachi.

The crackdown, directed by FIA Director Karachi Zone Zaeem Sheikh, aimed to apprehend individuals involved in the despicable act of human smuggling. Acting on the directives of Deputy Director Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Bahawal Ostu, the raiding team successfully detained the suspected human trafficker.

The individual in custody, identified as Mansoor Ali from the PECHS area of Karachi, was apprehended during a coordinated effort led by Inspector Babar Ali, Sub-Inspector Shahid Mustafa, Mehran Khan, Constable Hassan, and other team members. Ali stands accused of being intricately involved in the heinous crime of human trafficking.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the arrested individual had been collecting passports from citizens under the pretense of facilitating overseas employment, operating without a proper license. Reports reveal that the accused extorted substantial amounts of money from unsuspecting citizens, falsely promising employment opportunities abroad.

A thorough search during the raid led to the recovery of numerous passports from the possession of the suspect. Additionally, various forms, checkbooks, stamps, and other travel-related documents were seized as evidence. The arrest of the suspect has initiated an ongoing investigation into the elaborate network of human smuggling activities.

The FIA’s swift action signifies a crucial step in curbing the menace of human trafficking, which preys on individuals’ aspirations for better opportunities abroad. Investigations are underway to dismantle this unlawful operation and bring all involved parties to justice.
