ICC Confirms Pakistan Qualification For The T20 World Cup 2026

Following the recent conclusion of the T20 World Cup, the lineup for the next edition in 2026, set to be held in India and Sri Lanka, has been finalized.

The tournament will feature 20 teams, organized into four groups of five teams each. India and Sri Lanka have secured the first two spots as hosts.

The remaining 10 spots were determined through the Super Eight qualifiers in 2024 and T20I team rankings. Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, the West Indies, and the United States have all earned places in the 2026 T20 World Cup through these qualifications.

Pakistan, ranked 7th in T20Is, along with New Zealand (6th) and Ireland (11th), have also secured their spots based on their rankings. The final eight teams for the 2026 World Cup will be decided through regional qualifiers, with two spots allocated for Africa, Asia, and Europe, and one spot each for the Americas and East-Asia Pacific regions.
