The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared the “Belgium Town” housing scheme in Zone 4 as illegal. The CDA issued a notice under section 49-C of the CDA Ordinance 1960 and ICT Zoning Regulations 1992, stating that Belgium Town is being advertised and marketed without approval from the authority.
According to the notice, no housing scheme can be launched in Islamabad by private sponsors without CDA approval.

The CDA warned the public against making any bookings, sales, or purchases in illegal housing schemes and advised checking the legal status from CDA before making any investments.
Utility providers were also instructed not to provide connections to the illegal scheme, and the sponsors were warned against illegal activities related to the project. The CDA is actively taking action against illegal schemes in the city.
