Imran Assigns 'Significant' Task to Alvi

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) witnessed relatively small gatherings nationwide on the first anniversary of the May 9 violence. Former president and PTI leader Arif Alvi was assigned a significant task by party chief Imran Khan to engage in dialogue, particularly with influential figures.

During a press briefing outside Adiala Jail, where they met with the ex-PM, PTI leaders Omar Ayub, Arif Alvi, and spokesperson Raoof Hasan discussed Mr. Alvi’s role without divulging specifics. Alvi, known for his past efforts to bridge gaps between Imran Khan and the military, emphasized the need for dialogue, suggesting that political parties within the ruling coalition lacked actual power.
