Before going shopping, the victim stopped by a bank and a money converter, according to one of the children.

He claimed that the robbers approached Alvi’s car near the Board Office and demanded that he hand over the goods and cash.

The child stated that Alvi initially consented to give him the goods, but he pulled the robber away as soon as he attempted to reach inside the victim’s pocket.

The thief then opened fire and fled the area, leaving Alvi badly injured. He claimed that a rickshaw driver transported him to the hospital for treatment, but he died.

According to police, Alvi retired from a foreign airline five years ago and visited Karachi two or three times a year, according to Geo News.

His funeral prayers would be offered once his family members arrived in Karachi, they said.
