In order to meet with Faisal Sabzwari, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, a high-ranking team from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) travelled to Karachi. The group was led by Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group.

The AD Ports Group, a pioneer in trade, logistics, and industrial facilitation globally, aspires to fortify regional ties and foster Pakistani economic development.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and AD Ports Group created the framework for heightened bilateral collaboration and coordinated efforts to build, enlarge, and digitalize port projects across Pakistan.

The pact is a cooperative effort to advance sustainable growth, increase commerce, and fortify ties between the two nations.

This partnership will work on a number of initiatives to upgrade the port’s facilities, streamline operations, and adopt digital technologies. The AD Ports Group will assess the project’s viability and success using its knowledge and abilities.

Captain Al Shamisi stated his intention to turn the container terminal at Karachi Port into a top-tier centre for transshipment and overseeing imports and exports. The alliance, according to Chairman KPT Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi, is a significant milestone. He said that by working together, the two organisations want to generate new growth prospects that would benefit the port and trade community.
