Karachi Zoo's White African Lioness gives Birth to Six Cubs

A white African lioness at DanZoo in Bahria Town Karachi has recently welcomed a litter of six male cubs, marking a significant event for the zoo, as reported by a local media outlet. The zoo’s administration revealed that each cub weighed one kilogram at birth, occurring approximately two weeks ago, and has since grown to a weight of three kilograms each.

Described as one of the largest white African lion births in South Asia, this development adds to the diversity of wildlife at DanZoo. The zoo has recently witnessed the birth of deer cubs, bird chicks of various species, as well as giraffe and leopard cubs, further enriching its array of inhabitants.

DanZoo boasts a diverse collection of wildlife, featuring giraffes, African lions, Bengal tigers, other tiger species, leopards, Asian black bears, various species of deer, peacocks, ostriches, emus, ducks, swans, nightingales, parrots, macaws, doves, and sparrows. The birth of the white African lion cubs contributes to the zoo’s commitment to conservation and the preservation of a wide range of species.
