Khawaja Nafay's Rare Achievement Makes PSL History

In the HBL PSL 9 match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Monday, Khawaja Nafay stole the spotlight with a remarkable performance, propelling his team to victory.

Quetta Gladiators clinched their second win of the season by defeating the home team with a convincing five-wicket margin. Making only his second appearance in the HBL PSL, Khawaja Nafay played a pivotal role by delivering an outstanding unbeaten half-century after stepping in to bat at number three.

Facing a challenging target of 188 runs, Quetta chased it down successfully with five balls to spare, with the winning moment highlighted by Nafay’s stellar innings. He remained unbeaten with an impressive score of 60 runs off just 31 balls, comprising four boundaries and three sixes, showcasing his impactful batting prowess.

What truly distinguishes Nafay’s achievement is his unique record of facing just one dot ball in an innings of more than 30 balls, making him the first player in PSL history to accomplish this feat.

Nafay’s exceptional batting display not only contributed significantly to Quetta Gladiators’ victory but also earned him a special place in PSL history, cementing his name with this rare and commendable record.
