Arfa Karim brought global recognition to Pakistan in the field of information technology through her extraordinary talent. She received numerous awards at a young age, including the Pride of Performance.
Born in 1995 in Chak 2 JB, Ram Diwali, Faisalabad, Arfa Karim became the first girl from Pakistan to make a mark in the international IT community. Her achievements not only highlighted her personal brilliance but also put Pakistan on the global IT map.
At just nine years old, Arfa Karim passed the Microsoft Certified Professional exam, shocking the IT world with her skills. In 2005, Microsoft awarded her the Microsoft Certified Application Certificate. Following this, Microsoft founder Bill Gates personally invited her to the United States to meet him.
During her short life, Arfa Karim earned several prestigious awards, including the Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal, the Salam Pakistan Youth Award, and the Pride of Performance. Her achievements inspired countless young students in Pakistan and abroad.
Sadly, the world lost Arfa Karim on January 14, 2012, when she passed away in Lahore at the age of just 16. Despite her short life, her legacy continues to inspire the tech community.
