TV actor and host Fiza Ali sparked outrage with a controversial comment about veteran journalist and TV personality Suhail Warraich during a special Eid transmission.
While appearing on Kamran Shahid’s show, Fiza remarked, “If Suhail Warraich hadn’t become a journalist, he would have ended up as a bathroom cleaner abroad,” a statement that quickly became the center of attention.

Her comment triggered a wave of criticism across social media and within media circles, with many condemning the disrespect shown toward a well-regarded figure in journalism. Choosing not to lash out, Warraich responded with dignity and humility. Quoting the famous Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, he said, “I consider myself even lower than those who clean toilets. I am like the dust of the street.”
He went on to highlight the importance and respectability of janitorial work, stating that those who clean up after others perform a noble and honorable service, and such professions should never be mocked.
