Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has criticized Dr. Zakir Naik’s recent comments regarding unmarried women.
In a video that circulated on social media, Dr. Naik stated that an unmarried woman cannot be respected if there are no available single men for marriage; he suggested that she would have to either marry a married man to gain respect or be considered a ‘Bazaari’ woman (public property).

In response, Zafar posted a lengthy note on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), respectfully denouncing Naik’s perspective and citing evidence from the Quran to support his views.
He urged Naik and men in general to respect women regardless of their choices and to encourage rather than criticize them for making fundamental life decisions.
