Pakistani actress and model Amna Malik has responded to viral rumours about allegedly controlling jinns. She has urged social media users to stop spreading false claims about her.
In a video shared on her official Instagram account, the actress clarified her earlier remarks. She also expressed frustration over being labelled a witch online.
Amna revisited her appearance on Tabish Hashmi’s show. During the interview, she was asked whether she had ever experienced paranormal activity.
She explained that she had shared an incident involving missing money and personal belongings. She also mentioned something she had heard about jinns hiding objects inside homes.
According to the story, these objects could reportedly return when someone asked for them. However, Amna stressed that she was only sharing an account she had heard.
The actress said she never claimed to have jinns under her control. Despite her explanation, clips and comments from the discussion attracted attention across social media.
Some users began associating her with supernatural powers. The rumours continued circulating even after she addressed the issue publicly.
Amna Malik said she had already clarified the matter through an Instagram post. However, the claims did not stop.
She also revealed that she contacted a social media page directly. She asked its administrators to remove content suggesting she controlled jinns.
The rumours reportedly led to unusual messages from social media users. Some people contacted her for help with their marriages or finding missing belongings.
Amna expressed disbelief at these requests. She explained that people had misunderstood the meaning of her original comments.
The actress also addressed the accusations made against her online. She said some users called her a witch and accused her of committing shirk.
In Islam, shirk refers to associating partners with Allah. Amna rejected these accusations and urged people to understand the context before making serious claims.
She also used humour to explain her position. Referring to Aladdin’s lamp, she joked that she did not possess a magical object that could summon a jinn.
She added that she wished her own wishes could come true so easily. Her comments highlighted the misunderstanding surrounding her earlier remarks.
Amna asked social media users to stop calling her a witch. She also urged them to report the page she believes continues spreading the claims.
The actress reiterated that she had never claimed to possess supernatural powers. She also denied saying that jinns were under her command.
Beyond the controversy, Amna Malik has appeared in several Pakistani television dramas. Her projects include Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Mayi Ri, Laapata and Khaas.
She has also worked in Bebaak, Soteli Mamta and Deewar-e-Shab. More recently, audiences have seen her in ARY Digital’s Sher and Hum TV’s Jama Taqseem.
