Andrew Tate And Brother Face UK Rape And Trafficking Charges

Andrew Tate

Former kickboxer and controversial influencer Andrew Tate, along with his brother Tristan Tate, has been officially charged in the UK with multiple serious offences, including rape, human trafficking, and assault. The charges, involving three women, date back to between 2012 and 2015 and were approved by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in January 2024 but only came to light now.

Andrew Tate, 38, has been charged with 10 offences, while his brother Tristan, 36, faces 11. A European Arrest Warrant was issued, prompting Romanian courts to approve their extradition after the resolution of ongoing cases in Romania. These include accusations of trafficking minors and money laundering.

Tate has a history of legal controversies and is already being sued in a separate civil case by four British women. Their lawyer, Matt Jury, criticized the UK’s failure to act sooner, saying the women had originally filed complaints in 2014.

Despite denying all charges, Tate has lashed out on social media, accusing the UK government of betrayal. Meanwhile, critics argue that his influence online continues to fuel misogynistic attitudes among young men.
