Angelina Jolie Plans to Leave Los Angeles for a New Life Abroad After Brad Pitt Chapter Ends

Hollywood actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to leave Los Angeles permanently. The move marks a significant life change after years of living in the city due to a custody arrangement with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

The 50-year-old star, who shares six children with Pitt, has long expressed a desire to live elsewhere. According to PEOPLE, Angelina Jolie stayed in LA only because of the agreement following their high-profile split.

Insiders reveal she is now considering several overseas destinations, with plans to relocate once her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year. Cambodia, the birthplace of her eldest son Maddox, is reportedly high on her list due to its personal significance and quieter lifestyle.

Jolie’s current residence, a historic mansion built in 1913, was purchased in 2017 for $24.5 million. Once owned by legendary director Cecil B. DeMille, the 11,000-square-foot estate includes six bedrooms and ten bathrooms.

While the home offers comfort and history, Jolie has been candid about her struggles with life in Los Angeles, citing her preference for privacy and safety—qualities she believes are easier to find abroad.

The decision to move comes after Jolie finalized her divorce from Pitt in December 2024, ending an eight-year legal battle. They share custody of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

For Angelina Jolie, the planned relocation is more than just a change of address—it represents a fresh start and a step toward independence. By moving abroad, she hopes to escape the intense Hollywood spotlight and embrace a slower, more peaceful way of life.
