LAHORE: A Lahore court has granted relief to Aroob Jatoi, wife of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, in the online betting app promotion case. The decision allows her to retain interim bail while legal proceedings continue.
Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Sadiqi announced the verdict after hearing the bail petition filed by Aroob Jatoi. The court allowed the interim bail to remain in place until further proceedings in the case.
The latest decision comes months after the Lahore High Court granted bail to several officials accused of accepting bribes during the same investigation. The alleged bribery case emerged separately from the probe into the promotion of online betting applications.
Earlier, Lahore High Court Justice Abhar Gul Khan approved the bail petitions of former Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, Shoaib Riaz, and Salman Aziz. The court ordered their release against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each.
The controversy dates back to December 28, 2025, when the FIA Central Court in Lahore heard bail requests filed by four officials of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
During those proceedings, Assistant Director Mujtaba, Inspector Ali Raza, and Sub-Inspector Yasir Gujar were granted bail after submitting surety bonds of Rs100,000 each. However, the court rejected the bail application of Salman Aziz.
The defence argued that the accused officials had been falsely implicated. Lawyers also pointed to alleged contradictions in the prosecution’s claims. According to the defence, investigators referred to both a Rs9 million bribe and a Rs40 million recovery, creating questions about the prosecution’s version of events.
The defence further stated that none of the accused were involved in any alleged bribery. It also argued that no complainant had appeared before the court. After hearing both sides, the court granted bail to three officials while ordering the trial against Salman Aziz to continue.
The main case involves allegations that Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi promoted online betting applications through their social media platforms. The NCCIA launched its investigation in June 2025 over the alleged advertisements.
Ducky Bhai was arrested at Lahore airport in August 2025. He later secured bail from the Lahore High Court. In February 2026, both Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi were formally indicted in the case. They pleaded not guilty and continue to contest the charges.

The recent court order provides temporary relief to Aroob Jatoi as the legal process moves forward. Meanwhile, authorities continue investigating both the betting app promotion case and the separate bribery allegations involving officials linked to the probe.
