Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi found himself trending online for an unexpected reason after Gujarat Titans’ pacer Arshad Khan dismissed Virat Kohli in an IPL 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday. Kohli, who had started the tournament with an unbeaten 59, was dismissed early in RCB’s first home game of the season.
Following the wicket, a section of Kohli’s fans mistakenly flooded Warsi’s Instagram with comments, confusing him with the young left-arm fast bowler. Some users humorously referenced his iconic “Circuit” character from the Munna Bhai MBBS films, asking why he took Kohli’s wicket. The incident sparked a flurry of memes and trolling across social media platforms.

This isn’t the first time such a mix-up has occurred. During the Champions Trophy, electronics company Philips faced online backlash after New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips dismissed Kohli, with frustrated fans mistakenly targeting the brand’s social media page.
Despite the off-field drama, Gujarat Titans comfortably chased down RCB’s 169-run target with 13 balls to spare. Jos Buttler led the charge with an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, while Sai Sudharsan and Sherfane Rutherford contributed crucial knocks to secure the win.
