Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul joyfully announced on Friday that they are expecting their first child in 2025.
The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram with a heartfelt message that read, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025,” along with images of tiny baby feet and an evil eye charm.

Athiya also included a white heart emoji in the post, which received an outpouring of love and congratulations from their friends, family, and industry peers.
Rumors about Athiya Shetty’s pregnancy first emerged in April when her father, actor Suniel Shetty, jokingly referred to himself as a “nana” (grandfather) on a dance reality show. At the time, a source clarified that the speculation was false and Suniel’s comment had been taken out of context.
KL Rahul and Athiya began their relationship in 2019 after being introduced by a mutual friend. The couple married in 2023 at Suniel’s Khandala farmhouse, surrounded by close family and friends.
Announcing their wedding, they shared, “In your light, I learn how to love… Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”
