Atif Aslam’s collaboration with Humayun Saeed for the OST of Gentleman, “Tumhari Chup,” has quickly gained global attention for its cinematic quality and emotive appeal. In an interview with Next Level Backstage, Atif shared his thoughts on working with Saeed and the production process behind the song.
Expressing his excitement about collaborating with Saeed for the first time, Atif described the experience as fantastic, considering Saeed’s longstanding presence in the industry. He also praised the involvement of Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed in the project, highlighting their fairness in selecting the final composition for the OST.

Atif appreciated the relatable lyrics of “Tumhari Chup,” noting that they evoke a sense of longing in any relationship. He emphasized his continuous learning process in every composition and shared that recording the song during rainfall contributed to its emotive quality.
Despite the challenges of the recording process, Atif revealed that “Tumhari Chup” was recorded in just two to three hours, underscoring the efficiency and chemistry between him and composer Naveed Nashad. The combination of Atif’s emotive vocals and Naveed’s compelling composition has played a significant role in the early success of Gentleman.
