In the midst of the media spotlight, well-known TV host Nadia Khan revealed on her morning show, Rise and Shine, a personal connection to the esteemed officer through her husband, Faisal Rao. She shared a vintage photo from 1989, explaining, “This is a rare picture of my husband Faisal with Aurangzeb Bhai. They were fighter pilots together. When I married Faisal, I learned that Aurangzeb was like a brother to him — a skilled and devoted pilot.”
Nadia also praised AVM Aurangzeb’s dedication to the country, recalling, “When I met him for the first time, all he spoke about was Pakistan. Faisal always says, ‘I want my son to be like Aurangzeb, not me.’”
However, her comments have triggered criticism on social media. Some users accused her of leveraging the connection for publicity, while others questioned the timing and authenticity of her story. One user commented, “Why didn’t these stories surface before he became famous?” Others sarcastically pointed out the lack of recent photos and wondered if AVM Aurangzeb was even aware of the lengthy phone conversations Nadia mentioned.
