Pakistan’s cricket star Babar Azam has earned a nomination for the prestigious ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award. The top-ranked ODI batter, currently sixth in the T20I rankings, is recognized for his impressive performances in 2024.
Babar played 24 T20I matches, scoring 738 runs at an average of 33.54, including six half-centuries and nearly 100 boundaries. His strike rate improved to 133.21, showcasing his consistent form despite some challenges. One of his standout performances came in the T20I series against Ireland, where he scored 75 runs off 42 balls, guiding Pakistan to victory after an early loss.

Other nominees include India’s Arshdeep Singh, who took 36 wickets in 18 T20I matches, Australia’s Travis Head, who scored 539 runs in 15 matches, and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, who made significant contributions as an all-rounder, scoring 573 runs and taking 24 wickets.
The ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award is one of the highlights of the annual ICC Awards, celebrating exceptional performances in international cricket.
