Two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist George Foreman has passed away at the age of 76, his family announced on Friday.
Foreman, famous for his 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” bout against Muhammad Ali, won the world title in 1973 by knocking out Joe Frazier. After retiring in 1977, he made a stunning comeback in 1994 at age 45, reclaiming the heavyweight title by defeating Michael Moorer.

Beyond boxing, Foreman became a successful businessman, best known for the George Foreman Grill, which sold over 100 million units worldwide.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Joan Martelly, and 11 children.
