Brock Lesnar has officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling, bringing an end to one of the most successful careers in sports entertainment. The former WWE champion confirmed that his final appearance took place at WWE SummerSlam on Saturday.
The 49-year-old shared the news during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. He said he had already considered retiring earlier this year after WrestleMania but decided to return for one final match.
Speaking about the decision, Brock Lesnar described his final performance as an emotional experience. He recalled feeling that his wrestling journey had reached its natural conclusion after his WrestleMania match.
Lesnar said he believed he was finished when Oba Femi slammed him during WrestleMania. However, he admitted that he still had enough motivation to compete one last time before officially stepping away from the ring.
