Cristiano Ronaldo Increases Family Security Amid Rising Threats

Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, have reportedly made significant changes to their personal security in Saudi Arabia following a series of threatening messages aimed at them on social media.

The couple, who live in Riyadh with their five children, has taken the threats seriously, leading to police involvement and a major increase in security measures around their family.

Since Ronaldo’s high-profile move to Al-Nassr in 2023, they had been enjoying a relatively peaceful life in the city, often seen in public with their children. However, the recent disturbing online threats prompted them to reassess their safety.

As part of their new security strategy, Rodriguez has taken steps to limit their children’s visibility on social media, opting for a more private approach after previously sharing family moments online.

The couple has hired a new head of security, Claudio Miguel Vaz, a highly experienced professional with a background in high-risk protection. Vaz, known for his work with musicians in dangerous areas of Portugal and later with footballers like Rafael Leao and Gelson Martins, brings military-style training to the job.

However, his aggressive, confrontational style has raised concerns among some, especially given it contrasts with Ronaldo’s typically calm public persona.

Vaz’s actions came under scrutiny after an incident at Paris Fashion Week, where he was photographed using a flashlight to block photographers from capturing images of Rodriguez. This move sparked a backlash on social media. Ronaldo and Rodriguez, who have five children together, including three from Ronaldo’s previous relationships, continue to live in Saudi Arabia since his transfer to Al-Nassr earlier in 2023.
