The decomposed body discovered in American singer D4vdβs Tesla has been officially identified as a missing teenager from California.
Police confirmed the remains belong to 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore earlier this year. The Tesla, registered under the name of David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, had been impounded in Los Angeles before the discovery.
According to officials, workers at a tow yard in Hollywood noticed a strong odor coming from the vehicle. They contacted the police, who later found the body sealed in a bag inside the front trunk of the car.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examinerβs Office listed Rivasβ date of death as September 8. However, the cause of death has not been determined. Investigators are waiting for further forensic results.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said the case has not yet been classified as a crime. βWe do not have any suspect information at this time,β the official added.
The disturbing discovery quickly drew national attention due to the singerβs rising profile in the music industry. D4vd, known for his hit track Romantic Homicide, has not released a statement about the matter.
Police continue to investigate how the teenagerβs body ended up in the vehicle. Authorities stressed that no conclusions have been made regarding foul play, and the inquiry remains ongoing.
The tragic case has left many questions unanswered as fans and the public await updates from law enforcement. For now, investigators are focusing on piecing together the events leading to the teenβs death and her connection to the abandoned Tesla.
This marks a sensitive moment in both the ongoing investigation and the career of the young artist, whose name is now linked to the case.
