Former Australian cricketer David Warner, renowned for his love of Telugu cinema, is set to make his first appearance in Tollywood. Warner will play a special cameo in the highly anticipated action-comedy film Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula.
Warner’s involvement has created a buzz among fans, especially given his long-standing admiration for Telugu films. Over the years, Warner has shared numerous Instagram videos dancing to popular Telugu songs, like Srivalli from Pushpa, and mimicking famous dialogues, endearing him to the Telugu audience.

At a promotional event in Hyderabad, producer Ravi Shankar confirmed Warner’s cameo, saying, “David Warner has played a small role. I feel proud we’re launching him in Indian cinema, especially with Robinhood.” While his role remains a surprise, Warner’s inclusion has raised expectations for the film.
Robinhood, a fun twist on the classic tale of the legendary outlaw, stars Sreeleela, Shine Tom Chacko, Rajendra Prasad, and Vennela Kishore in key roles. With Warner recently retiring from international cricket, this film marks the beginning of a new chapter for him.
Set to release on March 28, 2025, Robinhood is expected to attract both cricket fans and moviegoers, with Warner’s debut in Indian cinema being a major highlight. Fans are excited to see how Warner’s addition adds a unique touch to the film.
