Diljit Dosanjh Faces Industry Backlash Over Alleged Casting of Hania Aamir in 'Sardaar Ji 3'

Indian singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is under intense scrutiny from the Indian film industry, particularly the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), following reports that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir may be part of his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3.

The controversy has erupted in the wake of the April attack in Pahalgam, in India-held Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. In response, the Indian entertainment industry reinforced its unofficial ban on Pakistani artists. FWICE strongly condemned the rumored inclusion of Hania Aamir and other Pakistani actors including Nasir Chinyoti, Danial Khawar, and Saleem Albela in the film.

FWICE President BN Tiwari warned that Indian artists collaborating with Pakistani talent will be viewed as non-cooperative and could even be labeled traitors. He added that such individuals may face blacklisting from future projects, and the industry will not support them.

In a decisive step, FWICE has also written to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), urging it to withhold certification for Sardaar Ji 3 on grounds of national security and public sentiment following the Pahalgam attack.

The speculation around Hania Aamir’s involvement grew after Diljit shared behind-the-scenes footage from the set. While she wasn’t directly visible, fans and critics claimed to spot resemblances and pointed to the alleged presence of other Pakistani actors. Despite Diljit’s attempts to clarify the situation through social media posts, the controversy continues to escalate.
