Disney announces the release date for the highly anticipated Ghost Rider movie starring Ryan Gosling. The Marvel film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 28, 2028.
Gosling will play the Spirit of Vengeance in the upcoming superhero project. The movie will become the third Marvel release currently planned for 2028.
The release date was revealed as Disney announces several updates to its upcoming film schedule. The changes followed the company’s D23 fan event and included several major Marvel and Disney projects.
Marvel’s 2028 schedule also features an untitled X-Men movie. That film is scheduled to release on May 5, 2028.
Black Panther 3 is another major Marvel project planned for the same year. The film is currently scheduled to reach theaters on December 15, 2028.
Gosling’s casting as Ghost Rider was previously revealed at Comic-Con in July. The announcement confirmed that the Oscar-nominated actor would portray the famous supernatural character.
The upcoming movie will be directed by Shawn Levy. Jonathan Tropper is writing the screenplay for the project.
Both filmmakers have experience working on major entertainment productions. Tropper has also worked on Star Wars: Starfighter.
Gosling will become the latest actor to portray the iconic Marvel character on the big screen. Nicolas Cage previously played Johnny Blaze in two Ghost Rider movies released by Sony.

The sequel will reportedly follow Miguel as a teenager. Benjamin Bratt is also expected to return as Ernesto de la Cruz.
Another untitled Marvel movie has been scheduled for November 9, 2029. Further information about that project has not yet been revealed.
