Lahore Court Extends Ducky Bhai’s Remand Over Online Gambling Case

Lahore Court Extends Ducky Bhai’s Remand Over Online Gambling Case

A Lahore court has extended the physical remand of popular YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, by four more days. The decision comes in a case related to the alleged promotion of online gambling platforms and posting obscene content on social media.

The extension was granted after Ducky Bhai appeared before the court at the end of his previous two-day remand. Investigating officer Shoaib Riaz had requested a 28-day remand, claiming the influencer is allegedly connected to an international gambling network. The officer argued that additional custody was necessary for a detailed investigation.

After reviewing arguments from both the prosecution and defense, the court approved the extension until August 23. The suspect will be presented again for further proceedings after that date.

Ducky Bhai was arrested by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on August 17 at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

According to officials, he is accused of promoting multiple unregistered gambling applications through his YouTube channel and other social media platforms. These activities are reportedly causing financial harm to the public.

Investigators revealed that evidence recovered from Ducky Bhai’s mobile phone includes WhatsApp conversations and payment records. These records allegedly link him directly to the gambling platforms in question.

Additionally, authorities claim that Saad-ur-Rehman was acting as a “country manager” for one such application. He reportedly operated without approval from the State Bank of Pakistan or the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), raising further concerns about legal violations.

The case continues to draw significant public attention due to Ducky Bhai’s large online following. Authorities have emphasized the importance of completing the investigation to ensure accountability for online activities that may cause financial or social harm.
