Dunki Sets Surprising Record for Shah Rukh Khan

Renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, known for his strategic financial planning, has managed to produce his latest film “Dunki” with a budget of just INR 85 crore. This makes it Shah Rukh Khan’s lowest-budgeted film since “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.”

The reported figure excludes cast and crew fees, but when factoring in talent fees, marketing, and print expenses, the budget reaches INR 120 crores. The efficient financial management is attributed in part to the completion of the shoot in 75 days.

Before its release, “Dunki” had already turned profitable due to lucrative non-theatrical rights, providing the filmmaker with a profit margin of approximately INR 100 crore. Shah Rukh Khan, currently riding high on the success of his recent hits “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” has unveiled the first track of “Dunki” titled “Lutt Putt Gaya.”

Sharing the news on Instagram, the actor expressed excitement about the upcoming film and the release of the song. “Lutt Putt Gaya” is part of the journey of love in “Dunki,” which is scheduled to hit international theaters on December 21. The film’s financial efficiency and profitable pre-release deals indicate positive prospects for its success.
