Emraan Hashmi, Himesh Reshammiya and director Aditya Datt are set to reunite for the upcoming film Gunmaaster G9.
The trio previously worked together on the 2005 romantic drama Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Their latest project has brought back memories of their earlier collaboration.
Emraan, Himesh and Datt have reunited for a new romantic track from Gunmaaster G9. The song is titled “Afsaana Banaaya Aapne.”
The track features Emraan Hashmi alongside actress Genelia Deshmukh. It also marks Genelia’s first collaboration with Emraan.
Speaking about the project, Emraan said the reunion carries a strong sense of nostalgia. However, he clarified that the new song was not created to repeat their earlier work.
Himesh Reshammiya wrote and composed “Afsaana Banaaya Aapne.” He also performs the song with singer Asees Kaur.
The track plays an important role in Gunmaaster G9. A short section of the song was already featured near the end of the film’s teaser.
The preview created interest among fans waiting for the complete track. The full release has now added another musical highlight to the upcoming film.
Genelia Deshmukh also spoke about working with Emraan for the first time. She said the collaboration offered a memorable opportunity.
She also highlighted the involvement of Himesh in the song. The actress described the project as a fitting way to begin her collaboration with Emraan.
Aditya Datt Discusses the Film’s Music
Director Aditya Datt revealed that the team spent more than eight months developing the film’s music.
The process included extended jamming and creative sessions. The team also worked on writing and developing different musical ideas.
Datt credited producer Deepak Mukut for bringing the collaborators together. The producer played an important role in assembling the creative team.
The director also worked closely with Himesh during the music-making process. Their collaboration helped shape the soundtrack for the film.

Himesh said the music was created to suit the world of Gunmaaster G9. He also wanted the songs to work well for listeners outside the film.

Himesh also praised Aditya Datt’s understanding of music. He said the director’s musical knowledge helped during the soundtrack’s development.

Gunmaaster G9 Release Date
Gunmaaster G9 is an upcoming action-romance film. It also stars Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh.
The film is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut and Sangeeta Ahir. Aditya Datt has directed the project.
The movie is presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. It is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on November 27, 2026.
