CID fans were left heartbroken after Sony TV confirmed the death of iconic character ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam since 1998.
In a recent episode, Pradyuman was reportedly killed in an explosion during a confrontation with the villain Barboza. While the scene didn’t show his death directly, Sony’s social media post made it official with the message: “In loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… End of an era (1998–2025).”

The news sparked outrage online. One fan wrote, “It’s not RIP to ACP Pradyuman. It’s RIP to CID. And RIP to Sony TV.”
Shivaji Satam, unaware of the twist, told Bombay Times, “I’ve not been informed if my track is over.” The actor is currently on vacation and said he hasn’t been told about any future plans.
With no on-screen confirmation and Satam’s uncertainty, many fans still believe ACP Pradyuman might make a comeback.
