Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim has issued a legal notice to his former wife, Sannia Ashfaq, following serious allegations made against him on social media. The claims emerged shortly after Imad Wasim publicly confirmed his second marriage.
Sannia Ashfaq accused the cricketer of “forced abortion” and “infidelity” in online posts. Her statements quickly gained attention and triggered debate across social media platforms.
The controversy intensified after Sannia shared a story on social media along with an image from Imad Wasim’s second wedding. In the post, she criticized the cricketer and suggested that the situation had affected her family.
In response, Imad Wasim rejected the accusations through his legal team. His lawyer, Advocate Aalia Zareen Abbasi, issued a video statement on social media platform X denying the claims. She described the allegations as baseless and said they were not supported by facts.
According to the lawyer, medical documents have been obtained that contradict the claim of a forced miscarriage. Abbasi stated that these records will be presented during the legal proceedings if required.
The lawyer also addressed questions related to the timeline mentioned in the allegations. She said that travel to the United States in November 2023 was made with mutual agreement. At the time, the couple had reportedly decided that Sannia would participate in an international tournament in the United States.
Abbasi further explained that records from trips to the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and England have also been collected. These documents may be used as part of the court process.
Regarding the allegation of infidelity, the lawyer said the couple separated in November 2024 because of personal differences. She added that Sannia was pregnant during that period, and both sides agreed to delay certain decisions until the birth of the child.
In July 2025, a son was born. According to the legal statement, Imad Wasim continues to cover financial expenses for all three children.
Abbasi emphasized that the issue is currently under legal consideration. She warned that spreading defamatory content could lead to further legal action.
Earlier, in December 2025, Imad Wasim announced that he had filed for divorce after ongoing personal conflicts. He also requested privacy and asked the public not to circulate old pictures of the couple.
