Renowned Indian singer Kalpana Raghavendar, 44, attempted suicide and is currently in critical condition.
According to reports, the Hyderabad-based singer had not been seen for two days, prompting security personnel and neighbors to alert the police.
Authorities forced entry into her home, discovering her unconscious and immediately transporting her to the hospital.

Medical reports confirm that she is on a ventilator after consuming a large number of sleeping pills in an attempt to take her own life. At the time of the incident, she was alone at home.
Upon receiving the news, Kalpana’s husband immediately traveled from Chennai to Hyderabad.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have questioned her husband regarding the circumstances leading to the attempt.
Kalpana, widely recognized for her work in Tamil and Telugu music, is the daughter of renowned Indian singer T.S. Raghavendar. Beginning her career at just five years old, she has recorded over 1,500 songs and performed in more than 3,000 live shows worldwide. She has collaborated with musical legends like Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman, earning multiple accolades throughout her career.
