Indian Woman Files Police Complaint AgainstHusband Over Instagram Follower Loss

Instagram

In a bizarre clash between digital fame and domestic life, a 30-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh has filed a police complaint against her husband, blaming him for a drop in her Instagram followers. The woman, Nisha, claims her husband’s constant interference is ruining her career as a content creator.

According to reports, Nisha alleged that her husband, Vijender, pressures her to prioritise household duties over creating social media content. She stated that the lack of time has severely impacted her ability to post regularly, especially her routine of uploading two reels daily.

The situation reportedly worsened when Nisha left her in-laws’ home and returned to her parental house, citing the dispute over her “digital freedom” as the tipping point. She then approached the local police station to register an FIR.

Police confirmed the complaint has been filed and is currently under preliminary investigation. While no official charges have been made yet, the case has sparked online debate about the evolving definition of professional freedom and work-life balance in the age of social media.
