Currently, Khalilur Rehman Qamar, along with the main accused Amna Arooj and co-accused Hassan Shah and Rafiq alias Feki, remains in jail on judicial remand. The case stems from an incident on July 15, 2024, when Qamar was allegedly abducted and robbed in Lahore. He reported the incident to the police on July 21 after being released following a ransom payment.

According to the details, Qamar had been invited to Arooj’s home under the pretext of discussing a drama project. However, his lawyer contends that he was kidnapped by armed men. Contrarily, Arooj’s lawyer claims that Qamar’s manager initially reached out to Arooj under the guise of professional interest. It is alleged that Qamar suggested he could help Arooj’s career but only if she complied with his personal demands.

Furthermore, the lawyer for Arooj mentioned that incriminating chats are reportedly available on a mobile phone accessed by police officials, including DIG and DSP. Allegations have emerged that Qamar insisted on another meeting, during which he arrived intoxicated and pressured Arooj for a physical relationship, threatening to leak photos if she refused. The situation escalated when Hassan Shah, alleged to be the mastermind, reportedly kidnapped both Arooj and Qamar, although the details of their ordeal remain unclear. Arooj has since accused the police of torture, claiming they coerced her into falsely labeling the incident as a honey trap. The case continues to unfold with new developments.
