Pakistani actress Komal Meer is done staying silent about the internet’s obsession with her appearance. In a recent appearance on Excuse Me with Ahmed Ali Butt, the Tere Aane Se star addressed the online fat-shaming and cosmetic surgery rumours with grace and humour.
Komal revealed she gained just 6 kg for a drama role that’s now been delayed. “I was underweight all my life. I finally started eating for a role I really wanted to do,” she shared. She also clarified, “People are seeing my cheeks but not my double chin,” denying any cosmetic procedures.

Responding to trolls, Komal said, “Don’t be jealous of my weight gain. Let me breathe—I’ll go to the gym and tone up. Just wait.” She added, “Our public is never happy. I was shamed when I was skinny too.”
Komal’s message is clear: women’s bodies change, and that’s normal. Whether for health, a role, or personal choice—it’s no one else’s business.
