Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has surprised fans with a candid confession about his 1997 blockbuster Titanic.
In a recent Actors on Actors conversation hosted by Variety and CNN, DiCaprio spoke with fellow Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. During the discussion, he revealed that he has never watched Titanic again since filming it. The film, which stars Kate Winslet alongside DiCaprio, remains one of his most iconic roles.
Jennifer Lawrence encouraged him to revisit the movie, suggesting he could now watch it purely as a viewer, without pressure. However, DiCaprio explained that he generally avoids rewatching his own work, although he made a few exceptions for certain projects.
The conversation turned humorous when DiCaprio asked Lawrence if she rewatched any of her films. “No. I’ve never made something like Titanic. If I did, I would watch it,” she jokingly responded.
Lawrence also shared her own funny confession. She said she once drunkenly watched her 2013 film American Hustle to check her acting skills. “I was like, ‘I wonder if I’m good at acting?’ I put it on, and I don’t remember what the answer is,” she admitted.
Titanic, directed by James Cameron, is a romantic disaster epic released in 1997. The film achieved worldwide acclaim for its storytelling, performances, and visual effects. Leonardo DiCaprio’s role as Jack Dawson remains one of the most memorable in modern cinema history.
Despite the film’s massive success, Leonardo DiCaprio’s admission highlights a common trend among actors who rarely revisit their past performances. Fans of the star continue to celebrate his career, appreciating both his iconic roles and his honest reflections.
