Mahira Khan Confronts Crowd Chaos and Security Glitches at London Film Promotion

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan faced harassment from an unruly crowd during a promotional event for her upcoming film Love Guru at the Indo-Pak Supermarket in Ilford, London.

The event, which featured her co-star Humayun Saeed, became chaotic as a large number of fans overwhelmed the security measures, resulting in several instances of inappropriate behavior directed at Mahira. Eyewitnesses reported that Mahira was molested by some young attendees both while entering the store and later on the rooftop terrace, where she and Humayun were scheduled to greet fans.

Social media videos captured moments of Mahira and Humayun waving from the rooftop, during which at least three individuals aggressively approached Mahira, highlighting the lack of adequate security at the event.

A source told local media that one of the security guards assigned to the event was allegedly involved in the harassment, which left Mahira visibly shaken and reluctant to continue. โ€œAs soon as she entered, one guard acted against her,โ€ the source shared, describing the distress she experienced.

The situation was further complicated by the presence of Indian flags at the venue, causing discomfort amid the sensitive India-Pakistan relations. Despite the turmoil, the event went ahead as planned.

Reports also surfaced regarding a financial dispute, with insiders claiming that Mahira was promised ยฃ5,000 for her appearance, but the payment was withheld. This led her to protest the organizers over both the security failure and the unmet financial agreement.

Neither Mahira Khan nor the event organizers have made an official statement about the incident yet. However, the episode has ignited widespread outrage among fans on social media, who criticized the poor event management and demanded accountability.

Love Guru, starring Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, is slated for release in cinemas on June 6.
