Veteran actress Marina Khan has voiced her mixed feelings about Nabeel’s role in the drama Sher, saying his comedic past makes it hard to accept him in a serious character.

Speaking on Kya Drama Hai Uncut Review, Marina praised the overall performances in the drama but admitted she still sees Nabeel as “Mehmood Sahab” from Bulbulay. She noted, “It’s very brave of him, and he’s doing an excellent job, but I keep expecting him to say something funny.”
She likened it to how Behroz Sabzwari was long associated with his comic role Qabacha. “Some roles just stick,” she said. Still, Marina appreciated the genuine emotions Nabeel brought to the screen and welcomed his presence in a different light.
