Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has come to Meghan Markle’s defense, stating that the Duchess of Sussex is “often unfairly dismissed” amid mixed reviews for her latest project, With Love, Meghan.
In an interview with Variety, Sarandos highlighted Meghan’s significant cultural influence, which he believes is often overlooked. He recalled how the trailer for Harry & Meghan sparked intense media scrutiny, with every detail being analyzed for days.

He also pointed out the public’s deep interest in Meghan, noting that items featured in the documentary, such as her shoes and an Hermès blanket, quickly sold out worldwide. “People are captivated by Meghan Markle,” he stated.
Her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which explores lifestyle and wellness, has received a mixed response from audiences. However, despite the criticism, the show has already been renewed for a second season.
Beyond her Netflix ventures, Meghan is set to launch a new podcast titled Confessions of a Female Founder on March 14, further strengthening her presence in the media industry.
Meghan and Prince Harry signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix in 2020 after stepping back from their royal roles.
