In a landmark achievement, 17-year-old Bollywood actress Nitanshi Goel has won the Best Actress Award at the IIFA Awards 2025, surpassing industry veterans like Yami Gautam, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Shraddha Kapoor in the Leading Role (Female) category. Goel’s award-winning performance was for the film Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, a film that has already garnered critical acclaim and numerous accolades.
The prestigious award was presented to Goel by actors Boman Irani and Bobby Deol. Overcome with emotion, the young star became teary-eyed as she accepted the honor, thanking her film’s team and expressing heartfelt gratitude to her parents for their constant support throughout her journey.
