Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has reportedly reached an agreement with filmmaker Farhan Akhtar regarding the film Don 3. The matter was resolved after discussions involving the Producers Guild.
Earlier, the dispute had created tension between the actor and Excel Entertainment. The issue was linked to differences during the early production stage of the film. The makers had raised concerns after Ranveer Singh exited the project.
According to reports, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani approached the Guild for mediation. The aim was to settle disagreements related to the filmโs production process. The discussions focused on financial and creative terms.
The production team stated that Ranveer Singh had actively participated in pre-production work. They also believed compensation should be provided due to the sudden exit. This led to formal negotiations between both sides.
Now, both parties have reportedly agreed to resolve the matter. Ranveer Singh has shown willingness to cooperate with the producers. He has also agreed to return his signing amount of around INR 10 crore.
In addition, he will give a stake to the makers in his upcoming film titled Pralay. The project is currently in production and is being directed by Jay Mehta. It is expected to be a zombie-thriller releasing in 2026.
The disagreement had started after creative differences emerged during the early production phase of Don 3. The situation escalated after Ranveer Singh stepped away from the project.
The franchise had earlier generated excitement when Singh was announced as the new lead. A teaser released in 2024 showed him replacing Shah Rukh Khan in the iconic role. However, his exit later affected the projectโs production timeline.
Fans expressed disappointment over the changes. The situation led to intervention by the Producers Guild of India to ensure resolution. The focus remained on stabilizing the filmโs production plans.
With the agreement now in place, both sides are expected to move forward professionally. The settlement is seen as a step toward smoother collaboration in future production projects.
