Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has strongly denied recent allegations made by journalist Naeem Hanif, who claimed that she was gifted a house in Lahore by a man. The Saba Qamar controversy began after the actress appeared on a podcast where she discussed her preference for Lahore and Islamabad over Karachi.
During the conversation, Saba was asked if she would ever move to Karachi permanently. She replied, βAstaghfirullah, never!β and explained that she visits the city only for work. The actress added humorously that she would consider relocating if someone bought her a house there but mentioned that she already owns a home in Lahoreβs DHA area.
Following her statement, journalist Naeem Hanif accused Saba Qamar of living in a house in Walton, Lahore, around 2003 or 2004 β allegedly provided by a man she was βinvolved with.β He further claimed that the man later harassed her and that she had approached a news office for help.
In response, Saba Qamar took to Instagram to refute the claims, calling them false and defamatory. βI have never lived in Walton, and I never did what you claim,β she stated firmly in her story. She also announced her intention to pursue legal action against the journalist, warning him publicly by saying, βIβm taking legal action against you. See you in court.β
