Saif Ali Khan

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has made his first public appearance since surviving a stabbing incident at his Mumbai home last month. The 54-year-old actor attended a Netflix event in Mumbai, promoting his upcoming heist thriller Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins.

With a visible cast and a bandage on his neck, Saif addressed the audience, saying, “It feels very nice to be standing here in front of you.” The actor was attacked on January 16 by an intruder, Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who entered his Bandra residence intending to commit theft. Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine and underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital before being discharged four days later.

His wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, previously called it an “incredibly challenging day” for their family and urged the media to respect their privacy.

Despite the incident, Saif is moving forward, promoting Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, where he plays a master thief targeting the world’s most elusive diamond. The film, co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Kunal Kapoor, is set for a March 2025 release on Netflix.

Meanwhile, Saif’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan is set to make his Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s Netflix film Nadaaniyan, alongside Khushi Kapoor. He also has two other projects, Sarzameen and Diler, lined up.
