Shah Rukh Khan wins Best Actor at IIFA, marking his grand return

Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan made a powerful comeback at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Abu Dhabi, where he won the Best Actor award for his role in Jawan. After a long break from lead roles, Khan expressed his gratitude to the audience, saying, “It’s good to be back,” as he received the coveted prize, much to the delight of fans.

The event also celebrated Animal, which won Best Picture, while Anil Kapoor bagged Best Supporting Actor. Rani Mukerji was recognized as Best Actress for her emotional performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra won Best Director for 12th Fail.

Khan’s return to the limelight after a five-year hiatus brought immense excitement to the event, where he co-hosted and entertained the audience with comedy skits alongside Vicky Kaushal. His presence was met with thunderous applause, fireworks, and an outpouring of love from his admirers.

The IIFA Awards, held in Abu Dhabi for the third consecutive year, highlighted the resurgence of Bollywood’s biggest stars even as the industry faces stiff competition from regional films and streaming platforms.
