Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s son, Junaid Safdar, tied the knot with Shanzeh Ali Rohale in a spectacular three-day wedding at Jati. Shanzeh is the granddaughter of senior political leader Sheikh Roheel Asghar. The event quickly became the talk of the town.

The wedding festivities included mehndi, baraat, and walima ceremonies. Each event was grander than the last, combining tradition, fashion, and political prestige. Social media was abuzz with admiration for the couple’s wardrobe choices and the extravagant celebrations.

During the mehndi, Junaid Safdar wore a navy blue traditional shalwar kameez designed by Pakistani designer Hassan Shehryar Yasin (HSY). His outfit included a bespoke cotton waistcoat, reflecting understated elegance. Shanzeh Rohale stole the spotlight in a green and multicolored lehenga by Indian designer Sabyasachi. The ensemble featured zardozi, gota patti, and sequins embroidery, paired with a peach net dupatta. Fashion enthusiasts praised her regal yet vibrant look.

The baraat saw Junaid Safdar in an off-white sherwani by HSY, complete with a sculpted collar, delicate button detailing, and a traditional turban. Shanzeh wowed guests in a deep red saree by Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani, previously worn by Bollywood actress Ananya Panday. The saree had floral embroidery and a vintage gold border, making Shanzeh the star of the baraat. Jewelry and flawless makeup completed her sophisticated appearance.

At the walima, the couple honored local talent, wearing outfits by renowned Pakistani designer Faraz Manan. The designs blended tradition with contemporary elegance, reflecting their refined taste.

The wedding also highlighted Pakistan’s political elite in high fashion. Maryam Nawaz appeared in Nomi Ansari’s designs at the mehndi and walima and opted for a green outfit by Iqbal Hussain at the baraat. Her ensemble included a $3,100 Valentino handbag, underlining the luxurious tone of the celebrations.
