The much-anticipated third and final season of Squid Game will premiere on June 27, 2025, Netflix announced at its Next on Netflix event on Thursday. A brief teaser clip was shown, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the return of the high-stakes, deadly competition.

The South Korean thriller became a global phenomenon after its release in 2021, surpassing 142 million households within its first month. It quickly became Netflix’s most-watched original series, contributing to a record subscriber growth. Season three will continue the story of Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, as he battles to put an end to the dystopian games.
Squid Game will be one of several highly anticipated returns to Netflix this year, alongside Stranger Things‘ final season and Wednesday‘s second installment. Fans can also look forward to new releases, including Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein and a live late-night show hosted by John Mulaney.
