Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai has expressed his concerns over the health of Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, and prayed for his quick recovery.
In an interview with ANI, Ghai said, “Salim sahib has been like an elder brother to me for over 30–40 years. Salman came later, but Salim sahib has always been respected. The entire industry prays for his health and long life because he is a very good person.”
Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after a minor brain haemorrhage. Doctors confirmed that his condition is stable and he remains under close observation in the ICU.
Dr Jalil Parkar clarified, “There was no surgery performed. It was a routine procedure. The brain haemorrhage was very minimal and did not require any surgical intervention.”
The hospital issued a statement saying Salim Khan was admitted in the morning under Dr Parkar’s supervision. He was initially brought to the emergency department by the family doctor and later shifted to the ICU for continuous monitoring.
A team of specialists, including neurologist Dr Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr Ajit Menon, and neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, attended to him after admission. Doctors reassured the family and the public that there were no complications.
Several family members visited Salim Khan in the hospital, including Salman Khan, Salma Khan, Arbaaz Khan and his wife Shura Khan, daughters Alvira and Arpita, and veteran actress Helen.
Screenwriter Javed Akhtar also visited his longtime friend to convey support and good wishes. Fans and colleagues across the film industry have expressed their concerns over Salim Khan’s health on social media.
With doctors closely monitoring him and family by his side, Salim Khan’s condition is reportedly stable. The incident has renewed public attention on health issues, especially the need for timely medical care for older adults, highlighting concerns over minor brain injuries and early intervention.
