KK Singh, the father of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has once again asserted that his son could not have died by suicide, expressing his confidence in the judiciary just before a crucial Bombay High Court hearing. “People in Patna know what happened. The truth will come out in court,” Singh remarked, voicing his optimism that justice would be served under Maharashtra’s new government.

The Bombay High Court is set to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on February 19, which demands further investigation into the mysterious circumstances of Rajput’s death. The plea also seeks the questioning and arrest of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray, who has been linked to the deaths of both Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager, Disha Salian.

Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment in June 2020, initially reported as a suicide. According to early police reports, he was discovered hanging in his room, with friends present in the house at the time. Sushant had reportedly been battling depression for several months. However, his family and supporters continue to believe that his death was the result of foul play.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s meteoric rise from television stardom with his breakout role in Pavitra Rishta to Bollywood fame with films like Kai Po Che and Shuddh Desi Romance won him the hearts of millions. His final film, Dil Bechara, was released posthumously. The tragic death of his former manager Disha Salian just days before his passing fueled further speculation and controversy.

Despite the ongoing investigations, KK Singh remains firm in his belief that his son’s death was not a suicide and hopes for a fair outcome from the judicial process.
